Cortijo Poqueira - Casa Castaño

El Cortijo Poqueira is located in the heart of Las Alpujarras Granada (Poqueira ravine), 2 km. the village of Pampaneira, Granada.
There are two buildings spaced from each other about 70 meters, with two rental apartments for short and long periods each of them, which has been carefully preserved so typical local architecture with stone on the outside and hardwoods, mainly brown , walnut and cherry inside.
Near the road we have a parking area on the farm from which there is a distance to the homes of about 100 meters down a path that leads to a small pond with fish and water lilies powered by a ground source itself. We offer luggage transfer service with an electric truck.
The buildings are built with stone following the typical architecture of the area, with flat roofs supported by chestnut beams inside.The floors are handmade earthenware. There are many details in wood such as walnut and cherry. Another peculiarity of the place is that some of the tiles that decorate the houses are handmade by the owner herself.
The houses are fully equipped with electricity (220 v.), Washing machine (in common area), hot water, cooking utensils, sheets, blankets and towels. All have a fireplace or wood stove to heat up very well throughout the stay. We provide firewood to customers who want it.
There are barbecue outside the house but will have to abide by the rules of the Natural Park. because in dry seasons is prohibited barbecues.
Although the place is very cool in summer to enjoy the water have a pool of 7.30 mx 4.30 m common for both houses and separated from them about 150 m.
El Cortijo is:

     1 hour from Granada
     2 hours from the ski resort of Sierra Nevada.
     45 minutes from the coast.
     2h 30 minutes from Malaga airport

BROWN HOUSE:
With capacity of 2-7 people. It has a living room with fireplace with a system of hot air into the bedroom, TV, WIFI and a sofa bed for two. An archway leads into the kitchen (equipped) and a bright living room with a sofa bed for two people and another of a square. Spacious bedroom with bed 150 cm. Bathroom with round tub of mud. Terrace with stone table under a chestnut beautiful. BBQ and place to sit and eat outside in the Age to 10 m. of the house.
